CETP has followed a consistent investment approach for the last 15 years, investing over €1.2bn of equity in European growth and small-cap buy-out opportunities and using the combination of sector expertise, local presence and global reach to drive returns.? ?The investment team currently advises Carlyle Europe Technology Partners III, L.P., a €656 million?fund that closed in 2015 and Carlyle Europe Technology Partners II, L.P., a €522 million?fund that closed in 2008.
CETP focuses on investment opportunities where they can partner with entrepreneurs and management to support the international growth and strategic development of companies.? The team seeks to invest in companies that are either market leaders in their segment or promising challengers in an emerging area, where the business has intellectual property, assets or knowhow that underpin their business model and where there is potential to drive meaningful growth through?multiple?levers going forward.? CETP has particularly strong experience in supporting investee companies in delivering growth through international expansion, new product investment, acquisitions and strategic repositioning as well as by leveraging the global reach of “One Carlyle” resources.? The funds take a flexible approach to deal structure and invest in both levered and unlevered transactions, in majority and minority equity positions and provide both primary and secondary capital.
The Europe Technology team also advised Carlyle Europe Technology Partners, L.P., a €222 million fund that closed in 2006 and Carlyle Europe Venture Partners, L.P., a €553 million fund that closed in 2000. These funds are fully invested and?exited.
